clementine fried rice

It was Sunday morning. The day before we've had a small dinner together with some friends at my girlfriend's dormitory. We didn't eat up the rice, so that Cath ( my girlfriend) and I had some rice left. I always used to cook fried rice, when I have cooked rice left. At that time I was thinking of giving my common fried rice something different. I looked in Cath's refrigerator and found 2 lovely fresh clementines (small oranges). Well, here we go..
I used these ingredients for my clementine fried rice :

1/2 lb (200 gr) pork / chicken
2 small oranges (clementine / mandarine) or 1 normal orange
3 cups cooked rice
2 cloves of garlic
2 cloves of shallot
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon lemon grass (powder)
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
salt and pepper
a pinch of chive

The procedure is like cooking normal chinese fried rice. Heat 1 tablespoon oil, add minced garlic and shallot, then stir for a minute or two. Then I added meat and the oranges and I pressed the oranges with the spatula, stirred the juice and meat, 3 to 4 minutes. As next step, I added the rest of the ingeredients (lemon grass powder, soy sauce, fish sauce, salt and pepper). If you like, you can add some vegetables (e.g. chinese cabbage or peas). Then I added the cooked rice and mixed it with the other ingredients in the wok evenly, until the rice turns golden. Finally, I added a pinch of chive to the wok. Done ! The taste of fried rice-clementine combination wasn't bad at all. The little bit sour and bitter taste of the clementines gives freshness to the fried rice.
