I like to cook and eat italian foods, becuase they're mostly very simple and quick to prepare, and I love tomatoes, just like the italians love them too. This time I was combining italian and japanese. Sushi, filled with antipasti. what the f*** ? yes, i thought so too. But you'll never know, if you don't try. At first, it tasted pretty funny. But then I thought, I wasn't bad at all. I mean, real sushis also use fresh uncooked ingredients. So did I. So these are the ingredients I used : for 2 rolls :2 sheets sushi nori (seaweed) 2 cups cooked sushi rice 1 clove of garlic 1 green pepperoni 4-5 green or black olives 1 tomato 2 teaspoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon minced basil leaves 1/2 teaspoon minced parsley leaves 1/2 teaspoon minced thyme leaves salt and pepper
And here goes the direction Cut pepperoni, olives, garlic and tomato into little pieces and put them in a bowl. Add the herbs (basil, parsley, thyme), salt and pepper into the bowl. Add olive oil to the bowl and mix all the ingredients with the oil. Put and spred some sushi rice on top of nori. Spread the antipasti on top of the rice and roll them into sushi. Cut the roll into normal sushi size. It's done !
