Ygrec, a modern greek restaurant, located in a small city, Ludwigsburg, near Stuttgart. My brother took us there as we visited him in Freiberg/Stuttgart. Ygrec is located on the underground level. First thing on my mind as we entered Ygrec : wow, modern, high class, nice interior, must be an expensive restaurant. The waitress recommended fish for that day, so we ordered different kind of fish for each of us. As an appetizer, grilled octopus and a mix from greek antipasti (olive, bean, tzaziki). Our dinner began with a compliment from the chef (see picture above), a small piece of ham on a small piece of melon, with balsamico cream as a decoration. Nice!
The appetizer was great! The octopus was delicate. I ordered Loup de Mer and it was delicious and the side dish (mix from potato and vegetables) was also great. Well, it was a bit challenging with picking out the fish bones, but it was worth it. The food price is actually not so expensive as I thought before. Our fish cost about 15-20 euros each. Other typical greek food like bifteki, souvlaki etc cost around 10-15 euros. The interior, the service, the food decoration and the taste are so good, which makes you think, that Ygrec is a very high class restaurant. The best thing from the interior is the wine rack on the main room, which has some lighting elements between the bottles.
